Windows Operating system for small or home based business
In this selection of the business computing guide will discuss the Operating system (OS) Windows software. There are other types of (OS) for computer systems like UNIX and LINUX however they will not be discussed in this section. Primarily this section will focus on the following (OS) Windows 2000 and Windows XP. There maybe some discussion about older (OS) software like Windows 98 or Windows 95 however we will not spend much time them because they are now very out date and no longer supported by Microsoft. Your small business computer or home base computer should be running at this point either Window XP or Windows 2000 unless you’re running some applications that require that you stay on older OS such as Windows 98. Currently Windows XP or Windows 2000 are the most used forms of OS on computer systems. A large mount of applications and tools along with other miscellaneous types of software have been designed to run with these versions of OS. There are other Windows (OS) that are designed for Server based system which are Windows 2000 Server and Windows 2000 advanced server. These operating system well also discussed in this section of the guide as well even though this OS is not normally run on a desktop system it does play a key roll in large business operations. Also the guide will cover the most recent release for Server based computer systems Windows 2003 server. This guild will also discuss the Windows Vista (OS) which was release about a year by Microsoft to end users and corporations. So far it has many deployed by companies that are selling new computer system however in some cases you can still get Windows XP installed. Currently Vista is slowly making its way into large company Also coming soon we will talk about Apples new Operating system software and if there is really an advantage to this software versus MS Windows.
